Dear Mid-Atlantic Symphony Family,

Welcome to the 2024-2025 season of the Mid-Atlantic Symphony, my third as Music Director! It is with great pride that we join you on the beautiful Delmarva Peninsula for another season of music-making. This upcoming season is full of highlights!

We are joined by an all-star cast of soloists, including Grace Park, winner of the Naumberg International Violin Competition, and Gabriel Martins, winner of the coveted Sphinx Competition. Both will dazzle you with their artistry in performances of works by Felix Mendelssohn and Robert Schumann.

We also look forward to presenting a wide range of orchestral favorites, featuring carefully selected pieces that I know you will love. I am particularly excited about performing Alice Mary Smith’s Symphony in A Minor, a piece rarely heard in the United States. Additionally, we will balance Louise Farrenc’s two concert overtures with two of Beethoven’s most popular symphonies, promising an excellent time for all!

I know you’ll also enjoy our annual holiday season concerts — these performances bring extra joy to us as musicians, and we look forward to joining you in the festive spirit. And don’t forget the exciting Ensembles Concerts which feature instrument themed music with introductory remarks from the musicians.

There’s something for everyone at the Mid-Atlantic Symphony, and we look forward to performing for you!

Warm regards,
