Volunteer
MSO welcomes all who would like the opportunity to volunteer. A few volunteer positions are available on the Board of Directors as well as on the group of Ambassadors who assist the staff at concerts and other events. You will find below a brief description of the functions to be assumed, to help you see where you talents, experience and desire to serve could effictively be applied.
A Board Director is an advocate of the MSO through dissemination of information and publicity, helps meet the budgetary needs of the MSO through various fundraising activities, and participates in the governance of the MSO. The Board of Directors meets once a month.
An Ambassador is an official representative of the MSO whose primary goal is to promote the Orchestra in his/her sphere of influence. Ambassadors assume responsibilities which facilitate the success of MSO performances: they assist with collecting tickets, distributing Program Booklets and seating audience members at MSO concerts, as well as at fundraising and other special events.
If you are interested in volunteering, an endeavor you would find exciting and rewarding in many ways, please send a brief biography, including your area(s) of particular relevance, for consideration as a Director or an Ambassador, to the MSO President at the following address: MSO, P.O. Box 3381, Easton, MD 21601.
