Anne Nye, a member of the horn section, grew up in Lancaster County, PA. In 4th grade, she announced to her family that she would pursue music studies in college. Staying true to her word, she moved to the Chicago area to attend the Wheaton Conservatory of Music, where she had the opportunity to study with Melanie Cottle (of the Chicago Symphony) and worked with many of the members of the CSO horn section. Staying in the Chicago area after school, she quickly grew her horn and piano teaching studio to 40 students. However, after a couple of years, she felt the east coast calling, and she returned to Lancaster, PA.

Since returning to Lancaster, Anne regularly plays with the Williamsburg, Mid Atlantic, Bay-Atlantic, Kennett, York, Lancaster, and Reading Symphonies in addition to the Allegro Orchestra of Lancaster. She enjoys bringing people together both musically and socially and explores that through her orchestra contracting work. Anne also co-formed many groups including the Susquehanna Wind Quintet,  Prana Winds, and Manor Winds. She is also a member of the Lancaster Brass Quintet. and Trilogy Brass. She is the adjunct horn teacher at Lancaster Bible College and maintains a small home studio.

Constantly exploring other interests, Anne also owns an antique stand at Tollbooth Antique Marketplace on the side and recently purchased a cafe in Lititz, PA with her sister.  She enjoys gardening, crafting, and cooking in her 1880's farmhouse that she and her husband have been restoring for the past 10 years.
