As a pit orchestra musician she took part in the world premier run of "Carmen: An Afro-Cuban Jazz musical" by Grammy award winner Arturo O'Farrill at the Olney Theatre (MD). As a studio musician in Hollywood, she has numerous credits to her name for CDs, music videos, pit orchestras, and has worked with Tony-Award winning singer Kristen Chenoweth.

Internationally, Yokers was principal flutist at the Siena Summer Music Festival in Siena, Italy.  An avid supporter of new music, Yokers was a member of the New Music Collective (OH), a chamber ensemble dedicated to the wide spectrum of 20th-21st century music, from hard-core modernist, to the pop-informed.

Yokers earned her Masters Degree in Flute performance from the University of Southern California, where she studied with Jim Walker, and her Bachelors Degrees in Flute Performance and Music Education from The Ohio State University, where she studied with Katherine Borst Jones.  Currently based in Annapolis, Maryland, Ms. Yokers keeps a busy schedule freelancing while also teaching Vocal and General Music with the Prince George's County public schools.
