Concerts are this coming Thursday, December 1 at Chesapeake College in Wye Mills, MD, Saturday, December 3 at Cape Henlopen High School in Lewes, DE, and Sunday, December 4 at the Performing Arts Center in Ocean City, MD.


Soprano Rochelle Bard has been described by critics as an ‘exquisite’ and ‘poignant’ singing actress. With a focus on bel canto and Verdi roles, she recent debuts include Odabella in Attila and Abigaille in Nabucco with Sarasota Opera, Aida with Washington Opera Society, and the title role in Tosca with Hawaii Opera Theatre. Recent performances include the title role in Norma, Elisabetta in Roberto Devereux, Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus, Violetta in La Traviata, Leonora in Il Trovatore, Lady Macbeth in Macbeth,  and the title roles in Maria Stuarda, Lucia di Lammermoor, and The Merry Widow, as well as Magda in La Rondine, Micaëla in Carmen, and the four heroines in Les Contes d’Hoffmann at such companies as Opera Tampa, Knoxville Opera, Boston Lyric Opera, Utah Festival Opera, Opera Company of Middlebury, and Sacramento Opera.

Ms. Bard earned a Master’s degree from the New England Conservatory and was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Music from her alma mater, The College of the Holy Cross. She has been a soloist with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Hartford Symphony, Tanglewood and with Opera Orchestra of New York and MidAtlantic Opera at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.
